Creation- Day 7 and review

So for day 7 of creation, we read the passage of God resting.  We did not do an activity but instead reviewed.

Day 7, Day 7

God rested up in heaven!

Day 7, Day 7

God rested up in heaven!

So the first thing we did was watched a couple of videos retelling the story of creation.

http://vimeo.com/11156584  (This one is pretty cool!  In this video, the account of Creation is read directly from Scripture with real life video and photos of his creation.  It's well done and only about 5 min. long) Bella definitely preferred this one.

(It's an animated version with text on the screen that you will have to read aloud to younger ones.)

Then she wanted to show daddy the video we watched.

Then we worked on a book I got from here.  It is a picture for each day of the week.  She is actually starting to color in the lines!

After she colored all the pictures, I covered it with a piece of construction paper and made it into a booklet.  She loves looking at her finished work.

Here are all the finished art projects and coloring pages she did for Creation.

Creation- Day5&6

Here are Day 5 and 6! Bella did her Day 5 coloring picture.

As for the craft we did a fish bowl.  She first colored a paper plate blue for the fish bowl.  Then I painted her hand and made two fish.  She then got to fingerprint bubbles.

The Day 5 song is:

Day 5, Day 5,

God made birds and fish alive,

Day 5, Day 5,

God made birds and fish alive,

Day 6 we learned about God making man and animals.

For Day 6 instead of a craft, we did an activity.  I brought out a variety of animals and people and she then had to sort.  She did ok with this, but I think she was distracted today.

I helped her differentiate the difference between animals and people and what makes us special to God!  Next week we will work on this more.  The Day 6 song is not so rhymey lol

Day 6, Day 6,

God made animals and people,

Day 6, Day 6,

God made animals and people.

Creation Day 1 & 2

We are working on Creation for our Bible theme for the next 2 weeks.  I have gotten my ideas from this blog and she sends you back to other blogs she got her ideas from! For each day we read the passage from the Bible, sing a song that goes with the day and at least a coloring sheet.  Some of the other days will include other crafts also.

For Day 1 we talked about how God made light from darkness.  I illustrated that by turning off the light and then acted as if God said "let there be light."  She then did a coloring page that had "Darkness" on one side and "light" on the other.  Notice me covering the side I didn't want her to color lol

This is the Day 1 song.  She caught on to this really fast!

Here is Day 2.  We worked on God made the seas and  skies.  So she first did her coloring sheet, and yes I covered the parts I didn't want her to color.  Then we worked on a picture illustrating the sky and sea.  We sang the Day 2 song also.  I don't have a video of her singing this though but the words are:

Day 2, Day 2

God made sky and sea so blue

Day 2, day 2

God made Sky and sea so blue
